A want ad, specifically for MPS Sales, prompted me to take a quick look at the graphs provided by Indeed, and located at the bottom of this blog.
Stark contrast between "MPS Sales" and "Copier Sales" demand - as MPS Sales openings apparently tumble, the need for Copier Sales people has sky rocketed.
This is certainly not a scientific study but the graphs contribute fodder for discussion.

Those that are hiring - are they reaching the Gartner "trough of disillusionment" in MPS hires? Time to redefine, regroup, retrench.
ReplyDeleteHi Greg,

Could the demand for Copier Sales people possibly be to attract them to MPS sales?
A colleague here in Australia works for a MPS company and many clients are still unaware of MPS.
His company has hired several former copier salespeople (including him) to sell MPS as they have good industry and technical knowledge, relevant sales ability and good customer contacts.
