I have a question for the #copier industry here on LinkedIn:
Who is your customer and why are you posting company profile pieces here?
- First, you are contributing to the echo chamber.
- Second, we don't care.
- Third, does this shotgun approach really work? How do you know viewers convert to sales? You don't.
I can count on one hand the number of copier reps who are using LI effectively - meaning creating, supporting, growing relationships, and "bringing deals home" from LI. (Instead of cold calling over the phone)
But -
I know TEAMS of #Selling Professionals utilizing this platform for a majority of deals. They've reduced the number of hang-ups and misdials and HOURS ON THE PHONE for no reason.
Just look at your ratios: Dials/Conversations/Appointments/Close. If you're doing well, you could be doing better.
If you say your clients aren't on #LinkedIn, maybe you are trying to sell the wrong thing - like #buggy whips and #typewriters - and it's time to get out.
Not so long ago, I stated, "there is no such thing as a social media expert..." that was then, this is now.
Today, who is that expert? Look in the mirror.
